Vegan authentic creamy dal curry

Authentic Indian curry (bean curry) that took time and effort. Please try it when you have time.

The soup can be arranged by adding various ingredients. Let’s put the vegetables left in the refrigerator in the soup! It also works as cleaning! You can reduce garbage without wasting vegetables.

Ingredients (For 3-4 serving)

 Hummus

  • Chickpea (dried) 200g
  • Half onion
  • Half celery (stem part)
  • Sesame paste 60g
  • A clove of garlic
  • half lemon of lemon juice
  • A little salt
  • A little olive oil

    Curry
  • Hummus
  • Half onion
  • 1 tomato
  • A clove of garlic
  • 3cm piece of ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Coriander (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Fenugreek
  • A dash of Cumin seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of curry powder
  • A little salt and pepper
  • 200 ml of chickpea broth
  • *1 tablespoon of soy yogurt
  • *1 teaspoon ketchup
  • *1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • *Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon
    *Please use as you like.

How to make

  1. First, make hummus. Soak the chickpeas in water overnight, put the beans, half the onions and celery in a pot.Boil it until the beans are cooked. (About 1-2 hours)
  2. When the beans are cooked, remove the onions and celery, chop them roughly and put them in a blender.
  3. The beans are heated and peeled one by one. (It can be peeled off smoothly.)
  4. Put the peeled chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and sesame paste in a blender and smooth until there are no grains.
  5. This completes the hummus. You can eat it with olive oil.
  6. Next, let’s make curry. Put oil and cumin seeds in a pan and wait until they crackle.
  7. Finely chop the onions, stir-fry to half the amount with salt and pepper, add the diced tomatoes, chopped garlic and grated ginger.
  8. When the garlic scent comes out, add hummus, bean broth, all spices and curry powder. If you don’t have enough water, add it.
  9. Add soy milk yogurt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and soy sauce if you like, and finally season with salt and pepper.

Point

  • Seasoning with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup is for Japanese.
  • Add soy milk yogurt to make the taste mellow.
  • If you add too much cumin, it will be bitter.
  • It is recommended to add spices just before eating, it will lose some of its flavor and aroma quickly.
