There are different types of tofu

In addition, if you tear it off by hand and use it for cooking, it will be easier for the taste to soak into it.

How to drain tofu

Tofu may need to be drained depending on the dish.There are several reasons to drain the tofu.

1,Prevents food from becoming watery.
2,Prevent the tofu from losing its shape.
3,The taste becomes stronger.

Draining tofu takes time and effort, but it make dishes delicious.

There are several ways to drain the tofu.

1, Put a weight
It is the most standard and the most water-removing method. Simply wrap the tofu in kitchen paper, place a plate or other weight on it (Weight that does not cause the tofu to crumble), and leave it for about 30 minutes. This method is recommended because the tofu does not harden and the water is removed.

2, Use the microwave
Wrap the tofu in kitchen paper and heat it in the microwave for 4-5 minutes. It is not recommended for dishes that want to value the shape of tofu, as it tends to lose its shape when drained in the microwave.

3, Boil
It can be drained by boiling. Boil for 2-3 minutes and put the weight on it for 10 minutes. It takes time to boil and put a weight on it, but it is faster than the method of just putting a weight on it.
